In Montgomery, a plug or patch repair usually takes under half an hour without an appointment, while a full set of tires with alignment is best booked ahead. Compare the out-the-door price across shops in Alabama, since installation fees vary more than the tires themselves. Keep the receipt: the tire warranty and any road-hazard coverage are tied to it. Demand peaks before winter and before summer road trips. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop sells used tires or handles truck and trailer tires, and its Google rating before you drive over on a spare.

Montgomery is in Alabama, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Montgomery is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Alabama's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

1-Star Review for CJ's Tire Service (Mobile Hwy, Montgomery)I brought my 2003 Buick LeSabre to this shop on July 28, 2026, for a front tire change. Unfortunately, the technician improperly placed the floor jack under the thin cosmetic lower fender panel instead of utilizing the vehicle's reinforced factory frame rail lift point. When the jack raised the vehicle, the concentrated weight crushed the lower mounting brackets and completely buckled my lower fender flare panel outward. I returned the very next morning, July 29, 2026, to give the shop a chance to review the property damage. Both technicians immediately denied the mistake and became highly argumentative, refusing to investigate or correct the damage.Employee negligence is one thing, but refusing accountability for documented property damage is unacceptable. I have fully documented the time-stamped photos of the damaged lift point area and am taking immediate legal steps through a formal demand letter and small claims court. Avoid this shop if you value your vehicle's structural panels.

Owner must be present for business to function. Owner gets there when he feels like it. Allegedly, it's open at 0800. According to the help, owner is "never later than 1000". If you need to get in & out before then, it's a crap shoot when the owner will get there. I was told "between 0830 & 0900" the first time then about 0905 "by 0930", then finally "never later than 1000." I recommend avoiding if after 1000 doesn't work for you.

Wow, great service thank you! While in town from Canada my truck picked up a nail in a tire. I found this place and the nail was removed, tire plugged, aired up and back on the road in 15 minutes. And friendly too!

Last week on my way to FL from MI I found myself with a nail in my tire on I-65. Taylor’s Towing came and didn’t have a key for my locking lug nuts (nor did I) but got me to Chapelle’s safely. Chapelle’s had hours long waits so they had me talk to CJs right next door. Not only did CJs repair my tire immediately, but he sold me a key for my lug nuts- at a more than reasonable price! He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and was sure to prove the tire was fixed with soapy water before putting it back on. These Michigan gals (and kids) are eternally grateful for the help!

I have been going here for over 15 years it was better before curley's son took over. He doesn't no how to talk to customers. Not all his African American customers are west side people. Seems he rather hang out at the shop talking to his friends than see what a customer want or need. All that said his prices are much better than Tony' or King's they robbing people.
